We are Disruptors.

At Voters Organized to Educate, we are more than advocates—we are fighters for justice here in Louisiana and beyond, standing on the frontlines against those in power who seek to turn back the clock. We are the countercurrent to oppression, challenging systems and laws that prioritize the interest of the rich and powerful over that of our communities and those directly impacted by a harmful and racist criminal (in)justice system. Our mission is rooted in building collective power, fostering an educated, engaged democracy, and expanding the rights and freedoms of our communities.

Through the power of grassroots organizing, voter mobilization, and building resilient community-based coalitions, we confront systemic injustices head-on and advocate for policies grounded in rehabilitation, resilient communities, and that reimagines public safety outside of over policing and more prisons.

Our work is about more than just resisting injustice; it is about creating lasting change. We cultivate leadership, inspire informed action, and strengthen the fabric of our communities to build a future where dignity and justice are non-negotiable.

We draw significantly on the policy expertise of our sister organization, Voice of the Experienced (VOTE), the leading grassroots force for re-imagining Louisiana’s criminal justice system.
